YouTube crosses the barrier of 4,000 million videos viewed per day

YouTube's success continues. According to a statement from the company based in San Bruno, California, just cross the consumption of 4,000 million videos daily, which means an increase of 25% over the figure of eight months ago.

Currently the users are uploaing 60 hours a day of videos to the network, compared with 48 hours of last May, a trend that increases trust in the coming years.

All this after the acquisition of the site by Google-paid of $ 1,650 million to take over the company in 2006 - which has taken the concept of home videos to another level by transferring them to the world of mobile phones and screens television.

The 'YouTube' has become a new way of watching TV, with a huge selection of titles in both series and movies, many of them free and some pay. The latest Hollywood releases, for example, can be rented for 24 hours for television or computer projection by $ 3.99, an affordable rate that has helped launch the service against other rental options like Netflix or Redbox.

The problem is that most of these videos do not generate any revenue for the company. According to sources cited by Reuters, of the total, 3,000 million videosmake money on a weekly basis, something that has helped redesign the page, as well as contracts with artists like Madonna content and Jay Z, among other.
