Google + reaches 90 million users

Google's social network now has 90 million users, 60% of whom use it daily, as reported by the chief executive of technology company, Larry Page.


The manager has indicated in its social network account, during the presentation of the company's annual results from Mountain View (California), linking users with Google + has grown "enormously".


Page has stated that about 60% of people who have an account with Google + uses it every day and more than 80% do so at least once a week.


Page, who said he was "excited" by the growth of social network and has argued thatsince the launch of Google + in June have been incorporated over 200 content updates.


According to an independent analysis conducted by Paul Allen, founder ofAncestry.com, Google + had more than 62 million users in December 2011. In addition, Google added social network, according to Allen estimated 625,000 new users every day.

  1. I wish that Google would provide us with the number of users who are actually "active." It would be interesting to see if the amount of users is even close to the number of people who are hands on with Google + on a day to day basis.

    For instance, I signed up for G+ and have had an account for almost a year, yet I don't think I've logged into more than once.

    The main reasons I haven't used G+ more is their lack of integration with iOS. It's a shame that Google and Apple can't play together...
